Poor Battery Life

by   shotguncreek ,  Mar 30, 2009
Pros: Takes wonderful pictures
Cons: Vey poor battery life
Review: Would not recommend this camera because of the poor battery life.  When I first got it the batteries would only last for 2 or 3 pictures so sent it back to Canon for repair and it came back marginally better but still unacceptable.  Have tried ...

A good beginner's camera - the Canon PowerShot A570 IS 7-megapixel digital camera

by   jps246 ,  Jan 31, 2009
Pros: Easy-to-use, Good photo quality, Lots of functions, Canon quality
Cons: Shutter lag, low-light issues
The Bottom Line: If you want a camera that's easy to use and takes good photos and you can live with some shutter lag, the A570 isn't a bad choice.
Review: I've been hemming and hawing on upgrading from the point and shoot camera that I currently have to something with greater resolution and more options.  As part of that quest I was able to get my hands on my good friend's Canon PowerShot A570 IS 7.1 ...

Canon Powershot A570 IS - A Great Little Camera

by   kerijane1 ,  Oct 21, 2008
Pros: Small, Light, AA batteries, Takes great pictures, Image Stabilization, Fast start up, Optical Viewfinder
Cons: The memory card is under the battery cover door which seems a bit fragile.
The Bottom Line: It's a great little camera that takes sharp pictures, uses AA batteries, starts up fast and has very good shutter lag. Several exposure options and an optical viewfinder too.
Review: We got the Canon PowerShot A570 IS last year to replace my old digital camera. The Image Stabilization is my favorite feature as my pictures come out sharp far more often. Battery life is decent, especially with Lithium AAs. Flash recharge time is ...

If Its Cannon, It Might As Well Be Called "Professional"

by   jacobwesley ,  Aug 14, 2008

Good Camera Overall. Some Quirks

by   jacobdrj ,  Aug 8, 2008
Pros:
Image Stabilization.
AA Batteries.
No Internal Memory.
SDHC.
Low Shutter Lag.
Intuitive Controls.
Cons:
Battery Meter Error.
Long Flash Cycle.
Bulky.
Scratch-able Screen.
Doesn't record to XVID.
The Bottom Line: If you can't find it for under $120, get a newer model. This one has a bug with battery life that is terribly annoying.
Review: I bought this camera after extensive research into consumer level point and shoot cameras. I have had a few digital cameras in the past and have found Canons to have some of the best image quality of any cameras I have used, along with having durable ...

Great camera!

by   iamfromoz ,  Aug 1, 2008
Pros: Hard to damage the outside, breath-taking pictures, well worth your money.
Cons: Battery door is sometimes difficult, screen scratches easily.
The Bottom Line: The camera is very good for beginners and experts all alike. While it's not your best bet for taking 'professional' pictures, it takes very very nice ones.
Review: before I begin this review, I want to let you know that I jump around a lot in my reviews, so please bear with me (:! purchased this camera at Wal-mart a few months ago, and am very glad to have done so. The camera, while being a bit on the large side, ...

by   wasiftoor ,  Jul 27, 2008
Pros: Quality photos, image stabilization, easy to use, AA size batteries, affordable
Cons: Rare red eyes, none while considering the quality and price
The Bottom Line: Great bargain. Excellent quality. Easy to learn. Must have for the average user.
Review: Cannon A570IS is probably one of the better point and shoot digital cameras that Cannon has produced. It has ton of features that are very rare in its class of cameras. It has a small size that is just enough to conveniently grip and use. The 2.5 inch ...

The A570 made me a Canon fan for life

by   lucidlemur ,  Jun 29, 2008
Pros: Image stabilization, simple photo options, good picture quality
Cons: Short battery life, on the bulky side
The Bottom Line: Both my digital cameras have been Canons, and both have delivered excellent picture quality and a great variety of functions, while remaining simple to use. Great basic camera.
Review: I bought the Canon PowerShot S200 sometime around 2001. Long enough ago, anyway, where I thought I was really cool to be getting a digital camera. Man, I loved that thing. It went with me everywhere for six years, and finally died a glorious death ...
