Pros: Extremely good image stabilization using lens shift technology
Cons: Flimsy plastic window in front of LCD screen
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this camera for someone who would appreciate using it on fully automatic as well as manual.

Review: Here's my review of the Canon Power Shot A570IS 7 megapixel 4X optical zoom digital camera. This camera uses Cannon's latest third-generation Digic III processor that is designed to be more power thrifty and faster speed. The content of this camera...

Pros: It's broke & complicated
Cons: Let me think? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Have had it less than a week.
The on/off & shutter click tones don't work. The battery & SD card access cover is broken & won't open (good thing I didn't take any compromising pics). |

Pros: image quality
auto or manual modes AA batteries image stabilization price Cons: battery compartment/memory card door is a little difficult.
The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong for the price.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I bought the A570 IS as my first digital after reading so many good reviews, and I don't regret it. It has all I wanted and more in a camera, but some essentials you should order at the same are a camera bag, a 2 GB memory card, and a set of...

Pros: Simple camera that takes great pictures while using AA batteries
Cons: Flash recharge slow
The Bottom Line: I'm happy with this camera and think I will be for a long time to come.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Having finally decided that digital cameras aren't just some passing fad (okay, so maybe it had more to do with other things being a higher priority like a computer I could download the pictures to), I recently bought my first digital camera. There...

Pros: Optical Image stabilization a real selling point. Easy to obtain batteries- SD cards are cheap.
Cons: A little bulky for a pocket, and there is "noise" with ISO settings above 400.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it primarily for the optical image stabilization, but also for ease-of-use and the ready availability of AA batteries in an emergency.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This camera is perfect for the quick, candid shot to record those family moments that only happen once. Zoom optical viewer as well as a vibrant LCD. Off-the-shelf AA batteries are easily obtainable and you can use rechargeable NiMH or NiCads. Using...

Pros: Compact. Basic features easy to use. So far has stood by the Canon name.
Cons: Instruction manual a little hard to follow. Average battery life.
The Bottom Line: For the quality of prints that I have obtained with this camera I would not hesitate to buy again. I am very pleased with this purchase.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have been a Pentax user for years with my 35mm SLR, then came digital. I started out with a 3 megapixel and once I got the hang of digital vs. film I was hooked. As with any product they improve so quickly you keep wanting more. So on advice of a...

Pros: Image Stabilization, 7 megapixels, 4X optical zoom, and uses available anywhere AA batteries
Cons: Price, redeye, some corner softness and minor chromatic aberration (purple fringing), slow flash re-charge
The Bottom Line: The new Canon Powershot A570IS is Canon's OIS digicam value champ
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Canon's "A" series digicams have been number one in U.S. sales for the past five years because they consistently provide consumers with class leading features, super images, and amazing ease of use. Canon's "A" series digicams reliably offer more...

Pros: DIGIC III, 4x optical, uses AA batteries, manual control, small size for features, bang-for-buck
Cons: Image quality slightly worse than SD800, Canon's movie mode files too bulky
The Bottom Line: The A570IS is another winner for Canon although has a few odd although minor shortcomings compared to the A710IS and SD800IS.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Ughhh.... digital camera turnover remains ridiculous. About every 6 months, just about every camera company completely revamps its model lineup. Canon has pretty much revamped its entire lineup even though most of the cameras weren't even a year...

Pros: Digic III , Improved FD, IS
Cons: Slow flash recycling.
The Bottom Line: If you want a camera on AA batteries with reasonably good videos and IS, this is great choice in my opinion.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This camera takes excellent photos. Features-wise, I think this is the best in A series and SD series as this is only Camera with IS, Digic III and improved face detection (not only detects face but set exposure, focus and flash accordingly)...
