Pros: Darn good feature set, with a swivel LCD, at an attractive price & weight.
Cons: Hard to find.
The Bottom Line: Very capable digicam with a well balanced feature set. A few stand-out features that make it perfect for me.

Review: There are lots of reviews scattered around, so I'll just put my couple of impressions in.
The motivating factor for me to get this camera was the requirement of a flip/swivel/tilt LCD. I'm growing out of my Nikon 4500 with the swivel body, and... |

Pros: 12 megapixels, 6X zoom, Image Stabilization, full manual controls, and available anywhere AA batteries
Cons: chromatic aberration (purple fringing), no neck strap and high noise levels at ISO 800/1600
The Bottom Line: The A650 IS is a bit sluggish in the performance department, but overall it is a worthy successor to the A640
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Canon s new PowerShot A650 IS is aimed directly at serious and semi-serious shooters who want SLR-like performance, but don t want to lug around a dSLR and a bag of lenses - at least not all the time. Canon's "A" series digicams are known for their...

Pros: Tilt view screen. 12 Meg (available) Uses Compact Flash cards
Cons: Canon Consumer Service Center Poor design/ergonomics Heavy Limited quality inspite of 12megs
The Bottom Line: Other, much better picture quality and customer service available elsewhere. Start looking by going to http://www.dpreview.com/ and looking at their "Highly Recommended" cameras.

Review: I'm a pro photographer. I own four Canon pro cameras along with a dozen "L" lenses that I use in my work. I bought this camera because of the tilt out viewer which could have been very handy in crowds. However, when the camera arrived, the control...
