The Canon HV30 is a great camcorder!

The Bottom Line: If you want high quality, high definition, cinema mode videos for editing, this camcorder does it all....as long as you can justify the relatively high price.
Review: I've had the HV30 since April 1, 2008, and so far I think it's great.
I previously used the Sony TRV38, another very capable camcorder. The HV30 comes in a slick, black color and is slightly smaller than my Sony TRV38.

Over priced under performance, too much hype.

The Bottom Line: This camera is obsolete. The standard is AVCHD which is true HD resolution.

Review: I have been totally blown away by the picture quality of this camera, i find the tapes handy too, as i can keep a permanet back up copy of the raw footage.
