Great camera for money

The Bottom Line: In my experience Canon has always made good cameras that are easy to use, but also incredibly flexible. This camera definitely fits with that experience.

New Satisfied Powershot S3 Owner...

Great camera for the novice user.

The Bottom Line: Good novice camera for someone who wants to move up from point and click but still wants ease of use and professional looking shots.
Review: I love this camera! It is easy to use, takes nice crisp photos and has some neat features. I wanted a camera with the anti-shake feature and with the 12x zoom and 6 megapixels this camera fits the bill.

A smidge below a digital SLR- a great upgrade for point and shoot users

Review: I bought this as an upgrade from my well-used and still loved Fuji 330 for the birth of kid #3.

It promised a 12x zoom, more manual choices and higher resolution than the workhorse point and shoot we used before- and it has delivered.

The Bottom Line: if your credit card sized camera is disappointing you (shutter lag, zoom, slow to write to memory) then this is the answer.
