I would avoid Canon DVD Camera's

3 of 6 Memorex disks could not finalize.. the problem is that if you record the disk and don't leave 10% unused the disk can only be played in the camera! This is a serious bug, given that you have only 30 minutes of record time.. Really a lousy piece of equipment!

Customer service suggests that I train my kids to leave room at the end of the disk.. and take the 6 disks and manually roll them out to a video capture card on pc!!

The reason that we bought the camera was to make it easy to capture and playback video without having to edit and burn on the PC.. obviously this was not achieved.

Canon support while nice on the phone, really has no technical depth and is unable to provide you recovery options. The website support was truly pitiful.

I'm going to find out if Costco can take this thing back..
