Canon DC10 DVD Camcorder

It's pretty simple to use which is great and WHEN it works I like the quality of video. I've attempted numerous times to transfer video to the computer for editing, etc. Mostly there are false errors that do not allow the transfer. Canon blames software, software blames hardware, etc. etc. In the end it's a Canon and I'm disappointed Canon won't offer tech support to correct the issue. Also, I've encountered the data loss problems as others have. I bought it for $800+ and would likely have done just as well to buy a cheaper product - I'm not getting the quality or support I thought I was paying the higher price for. If I was still under warranty - I'd certainly take it back and buy something different AND try out the transfer ability within a week!!
