Pros: cheap

Cons: noisy and does not overwrite or erase tapes that were used in another drive

The Bottom Line: Recommended IF AND ONLY IF you are not going to use or restore previously used tapes from another drive.

Review: I purchased this tape drive to archive our library of files that is slowly inundating our HP drive.

While the Seagate DAT drives are only HALF the price of the HP and Exabyte drives, one has to wonder where the sacrifice was made.
