Reasons I bought this player over others in the market:
1)I only look at DAPs that can handle OGG and MP3 formats and there aren't too many of them around. iAUDIO tends to be pretty solid in the number of formats that it plays.
2)I needed something with at least 8GB of flash cause I move about and I don't want the hard drive going out on me.
3)Battery life needs to last through my workday without charging.
4)Need voice recording for class lectures
Reasons I am happy with my purchase:
1)Excellent battery life (over 24 hours for me)
2)Amazing sound quality
3)Great choice of media formats
4)Voice recording is sensitive and can hear a fairly long distance
5)Very fast scrolling so you don't waste your time
6)Effective EQ
7)Loud and true sound
8)Sufficient storage
9)FM radio preset stations
If you need more storage there is a 16GB model available now.
One thing about this player that they could have done better is the control sensitivity. On the lowest sensitivity level I can still accidentally change songs through my Carhart (really thick) jeans. I've adapted to that somewhat and I'm glad that they included a lock so you can prevent mistakes most of the time.
One other thing I would have liked to see is a SD card slot for expansion but you just can't have everything.
Over all I highly recommend this DAP to anyone that needs to be mobile. JOGGERS TAKE NOTE, this is a perfect player for you, don't buy an ipod or other similar DAP that is not flash based (that is, has a hard drive).
