Worth it?
Date of Review: Dec 20, 2005
The Bottom Line: Avoid...if not, have fun with blurry pictures and buttons that are about to snap off right out of the box...very poorly made...
I decided to get this camera because I wanted a little something to take some fun shots with around campus. When I opened the box, the camera actually looks and feels solid. It's got one of the best looking designs out there but thats where all of the goodness stops. I opened it up and snapped 2 quick photos of myself. They looked pretty decent. The next few shots were of items around the room like my table and chair...just to test it out...these pictures somehow turned out like I was running 70 mph and snapped the camera. So blurry! Furious, I took some more...same result. The pad thing to navigate the menus is a joke. You cannot even get it to review photos without slipping your thumb and exiting the review...its an incredibly awful design. And then, to top it all off, the unit was only on for a maybe a maximum of 15 minutes and the batteries were already about dead. I took it right back to the store and discovered that for 50-70 more dollars I can get an Olympus, Kodak, or a Sony that at 5 MP that is 300 times better than this...AVOID this product at all costs...just spend a little bit more money, save yourself some hassle, and enjoy a better camera.
