The Bottom Line: Definitely worth the money. Compared to 2-3 starbucks drinks a day, it'll pay itself off before a year is up.
We bought ours 4 months ago and have been very happy with it.
We bought it to make Starbucks drinks at home because my husband is addicted to Starbucks Macchiatos. We spent the extra money to make sure everything went right. We didn't want to fuss with grinding beans or anything else that might go wrong. We wanted something that was pretty much idiot proof because we know nothing about espresso, just hot to order from Starbucks!
This machine is definitely worth the money. We don't have any heat issues, since we only use the espresso in the fancy starbucks drinks. The temperature seems great for us. The frother is easy to use. This machine really performs and makes the drinks very well. It tastes just like at Starbucks. We are having so much fun with this machine. We have most of the starbucks syrups now, and our friends are practically giddy when they come over and can choose just about any starbucks drink they want!
The machine is noisy, but not as noisy as I had expected after reading the reviews. But if it's going to grind the beans for you, I guess you have to expect some noise.
It turns on pretty quickly too. When I push the button to turn it on, I then get a mug from the cupboard, put in my syrup, go get the milk from the fridge, pour it into the frothing container and then put the milk away, and by the time this is done, the machine is ready to go.
We're so happy with this machine!
