Works well and does what is promised
Pros:
Auto correct time, adjusts for daylight savings, 2 alarms with different settings
Cons:
Snooze button should be more noticeable, buttons overall could be bigger, FM/AM quality
The Bottom Line:
Emerson delivers a clock radio that preforms well as an alarm clock, but may not be what you want if your looking for high quality FM/AM radio.

Author's Review
Going into college, I needed a new alarm clock as my previous alarms never actually woke me up. So it was obvious I needed one that would. So I found this clock radio and at its cheap price I put my faith in Emerson.
It turns out I choose well, I only slept through one class thus far ;) This clock comes with 2 alarm settings, both can be set to either everyday, Monday-Friday, or Saturday and Sunday. I tend to set alarm 1 to my Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes and alarm 2 to my Tuesday, Thursday classes. I don't really set my alarms for different days but this can be useful for those who work a traditional 40 hours a week Monday through Friday and sleep in on the weekends.
Additionally, the alarm can be set to a buzzer or radio. Its all about preference but I use the buzzer. It sounds like a series of beats that gets increasingly louder and more annoying as it goes on, which is good because it actually gets me up. The snooze button is located right on top so when I first wake up I smack it to turn off the alarm right away. Its fairly large but it can be easy to miss because its the same color as the rest of the clock. I wish it was either bigger, slightly raised, a different color, or more noticeable in some way. It is possible to accidentally turn the blue Sleep button, which turns on the radio, but it is lowered and somewhat difficult to do this.
As for the other buttons, on the side of the unit are the FM/AM searching tuners, brightness adjustment, volume adjustment tuner, and the switches to turn the 2 alarms on buzzer, radio, or off. The top has the buttons to adjust the 2 alarms and the time among a few others. Also located on the top is the Radio On/Off button and the Sleep and Snooze buttons.
The radio also automatically sets itself for daylight savings time. One of my favorite features of this radio, though, is the ability automatically set the time when plugged in. No more resetting the alarms and time every time there is a power surge or thunder storm! I don't honestly think I could go back to any other alarm because I've gotten used to the laziness of not setting it anymore.
As far as the radio goes, it is set manually so its not a precise as digital FM and AM searching but I don't find use for the radio anyway. For those that are wondering, the radio is loud and will certainly wake you up if that is your method of preference. However, it is not the best quality but this isn't to much of a draw back. I don't know to many people who expect great quality out of their alarm but if you are one of those people, or one of those people who likes waking up to your own music, then this radio is not for you. In the end, this Emerson clock radio does everything it says it will. Its completely worth it if you just need a cheap alarm and want to enjoy never setting your clock again!
