I bought one of these for use with my Acer PC. Installation was simple, and connection is simply by a usb cable.

It comes with software and instructions, but is user friendly enough that you can easily get away without reading them. The same goes for the scanner on top of the printer. It is simple to use, and provides good images. You can also edit your images (crop, resize etc.) once scanned.

If I was to improve anything I would say that ink doesnt last too long, but then there are plenty of vendors for replacement ink around so you can always get a good deal.
