"Ineptson" Stylus C66
Pros:
Print quality good. No misfeeds jams in the three months that I owned new printer.
Cons:
Print speed was at the most 2 pages per minute. Black gone after 50 pages.
The Bottom Line:
If you refill your own cartridges, I give it a "buy," but only at $30 or less new.

Author's Review
Text documents were the sole job of this printer. The print quality was good to very-good for these mostly-text documents. Print speed was at the most 2 pages per minute. I experienced no misfeeds or jams in the three months that I have owned and used the printer since buying it new. Ink use is a problem. Black is gone after about 50 pages. I purchased the C66 to replace three other inkjet printers that stopped printing after being in storage for 6 months. They were an HP 600C, a Lexmark 1100, and a Lexmark Z25. I will never pay $30 or more for an inkjet cartridge. All of the printers mentioned were purchased for the price of one cartridge, after rebates. The HP 600C worked flawlessly using Universal Inkjet Refill products, so I believe that I'll return to this ancient workhorse--its only drawback is that it connects via parallel cable. What do I love about the C66?...nothing...it is sick to love something about a printer! Rather, what do I appreciate about its features?...nothing more than the other printers in my stable, other than separate ink tanks for C Y M K. Now, return to the ink cartridge for "What do you hate?"...Unacceptably short capacity (50 pages of text), the price of a new black-ink cartridge ($30), and the complete failure of web support to understand the problem I was experiencing with their printer. Web support was not able, in three attempts, to solve the problem--neither did they fully comprehend the issues. Web support did, however, reply to each of my emails within one to three weeks after I contacted them. My epinion: do not purchase the C66. If someone gives you a new C66, tell them "No, thanks--I can't afford the ink."

How to solve the expensive ink cartridge problem...
Add ink and reset imbedded electronic counter in the cartridge, according to Universal Inkjet Refill System instructions. I printed a test page of black ink only text, after about 1-2 months of non-use, and it printed perfectly. 60ml bottle of black ink retails for $10+tax, and should be good for 10 refills; resetter is $10+tax and is good for an indefinite number of resets. Innojet is another manufacturer of refill products, but I have not used their products as of today (03.02.06).
Now that I can have the functionality of a new cartridge for less than $2.00 when the cartridge is empty, I say "buy" this printer at $25 or less new.
