Growing on me!

by  bytemaster ,  Jul 12, 2005
12 out of 12 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Great isolation, amazing resolution, super portable
Cons: Not as satisfying/real as "big" headphone sound, can distort, hard to fit, look flimsy
The Bottom Line: Buy these with the right expectations, and reserve some time to get them fitting right and to learn to appreciate them. Doubt you can do much better!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Having only read positive reviews of these headphones, I had to give them a try. When I got them out of the package, I had great expectations. However, my first impressions were very disappointing.

First impressions :(

Pros: Best sound in the $70-200 product range. I like the small hidden fit.
Cons: Cable could be user replaceable.

Review: "10" Preliminary review with a detailed one to follow.

In short, these In-Ear-Phones are perfect for the iPod. As with all IEM devices, they MUST seal properly. That said, the ER-6i display a spacious sound field and the right balance of...

Review: I did a lot of research from several sources on noise isolating earphones, and everything I've read about these impressed me. I bought a pair and I've had them about 2 weeks. I LOVE them! I use them with a Creative Zen mp3 player, and the sound...

The Bottom Line: If you value great sound and like to listen to music for long periods of time, these are unparalleled in terms of comfort, noise isolation, and sound quality.

Review: Sound Quality: I received these as a gift and was told that the sound reproduction and quality was amazing. I soon tried these and had to agree. These are one of the best headphones I have used as far as sound quality.

ER-6i not bad but could be better

by  rd_in_sc ,  Mar 8, 2006
9 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
Pros: 5 ft cord, good sound isolation, decent clarity
Cons: needs more bass, 5 ft cord that tangles easily
The Bottom Line: Not bad for loud places but keep looking if you want bass
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I bought these about 9 months ago and have been pleased with them in some situations and disappointed in others. The ear phones that came with the 3G iPod were ok if the ambient noise level was fairly low but not very good if it was loud. I looked...

10 out of 10 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Sound, Design, and Comfort.
Cons: Is it really worth that much? Audio plug a bit lose on jack.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it for Travellers, Business men, Students, and Audiophiles for good sound.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Well I just got it today and my first impression was like OMG OMG OMG!!! Ok i unwraped it and took everything out. I was dissappointed to see so little things in the box, but hey what can they really give you anyways. Manual, some more paper, and...

Excellent Earbuds Designed for the ipod

by  dansepenions ,  Nov 23, 2006
8 out of 8 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Pure crisp sound quality. Bass boost adds fullness. Noise canceling protects hearing.
Cons: Cord is long and flimsy plus creates noise with movement. Still lacking fullness.
The Bottom Line: The 6isolator Earphones are an excellent choice when upgrading from the Apple generic earphones or any other low grade earphone. You will find that old songs will become new again.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: First off, I have noticed that many of the reviews of this product listed here are quite lengthy and inaccessible to the average portable media user. So, I will attempt to keep it short, sweet, and to the point.

I am a musician and...

Not The Best For Everybody...But Still Great

by  derek_ween ,  Nov 20, 2005
14 out of 14 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Noise isolation, clear sound, perfect cord length, good looks
Cons: Requires determination to insert properly; value not there for everybody.
The Bottom Line: Some of people won't find these to be worth the money, because they don't have the ear for it. Maybe I'm one of them. Superb for the others, though.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Ever been in that awkward social situation where somebody wants to "share" an earbud with you so that you can both hear something? I often wonder what exactly makes that so uncomfortable. Is it the idea of intermingling ear-wax? Probably. But...

Sound and Silence...How to hear Mozart at a Rock Concert

by  umisenyamasen ,  Mar 13, 2006
15 out of 15 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Compact, excellent noise isolation, very good sound quality.
Cons: In-ear design not for everyone, a little delicate.
The Bottom Line: Excellent noise blocking, good sound, and small package great for traveling. But if you don't like "earplug" design, or socialize while you listen, these won't be for you.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Etymotic Research ER-6i isolator earphones are in-canal, earplug type headphones. They are intended for the high-quality reproduction of music while blocking out background sounds in noisy environments. Without going any farther, I can say that they...

I Can't Travel (Live) Without Them

by  zequeen319 ,  Apr 8, 2005
5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Small Compact Size, Great Sound and Sound Cancellation, Not very pricey, Concealed when worn
Cons: More eartips with initial purchase
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The ER-6 are compact, fit easily in my briefcase or purse and I can use plug them into any commercial airline audio jack. When they are worn, they are very much concealed, no Mickey Mouse over the ear headsets! The sound is great, canceling out the...
