The Bottom Line: Great features & quality, LCD, smooth quiet lens motor, easy menu to memorize & the $99.00 sale price was too good to pass up.
Update..This camera takes great photos for a compact camera.
I've missed some great photos. I needed a smaller yet powerful camera to carry all the time everywhere I go when I dont have my larger professional camera with me.
A customer saw me comparing cameras & pointed out that this camera was on sale for only $99.00
I powered up the display camera, zoomed in close. The bright LCD is beautiful to look at.
This camera has many features found on more expensive cameras. The lens is equal to approx 175mm zoom. Battery charges in approx 90 min.
The menu is very easy to memorize & set up the camera. The flash is powerful don't let it's size fool you.
The lens motor is smooth & quiet.
The hand strap is too large. Thread the Mfg. strap through a plastic bead to adjust the strap length.
Next sew a knot in the end of the strap after putting the bead on the strap this will keep the bead from slipping off the strap.
An extra battery is a must if you plan to zoom in & out & use flash indoors with a bright display.
A power cord is available for during battery draining holidays.
It uses an odd shaped battery & finding a genuine battery is difficult even with the internet.
Overall this is a great camera & worth the money. I've been taking photos for 25yrs.
This camera is fun & fills my need for once in a lifetime unexpected photos.
Pelican micro case 1020 is a great way to protect it from dust & water & impact.
