Epinions Middle of the road ?

by  anwarasw,  Sep 29, 2005
Pros: 10.7x Optical Zoom, 9MPX, CF & XD Cards
Cons: Need to read manual to get all the functions
The Bottom Line: I recommend it based on initial impressions - will update with more upon testing.
Review: NEW TOY, NEW TOY ... I'm so excited ... I'm about to head out to vacation and my 2 current digital cameras are compacts with limited functionality, though easy to carry around and with 5 megapixels (MPX) they don't offer a lot of options for my more ...

by  nogbad,  Aug 27, 2005
Pros: No noticeable shutter lag Great focus light Twin media options Great picture quality
Cons: None really noticed so far !
The Bottom Line: An excellent camera at this level, certainly will do everything required by an enthusiast. Great picture quality, No noticeable shutter lag, good lens, superb macro facility.
Review: I have just had the opportunity to trial the S9500 for a few days. I am a Police photographer, with a force that is just about to make the switch to digital. We are obviously considering our options in terms of SLR's as we have a large quantity of Nikon ...

Epinions It's a Gem!

by  ykisa1,  Oct 22, 2006
Pros: Comfortable, fast, fantastic macro mode, cable release option!
Cons: some low light issues
Review: I have had this camera for over six months after owning an Olympus C2500. The Fuji DOES require manual reading. It is a feature rich camera that has many benefits to it's user. The 28-300mm has nothing in its class that compares. I have had no faults ...

Epinions Fuji S9500

by  molliethecat,  Sep 12, 2005
Pros: Manual focus..extra speed focusing...extra pixels..
Cons: Seems to creak like a new leather sofa!
Review: Just brought this camera so reveiw is based on a few days use[I hade a fuji S1]and still have a finepix 5000. Changes from the 5000 make the option of not reading the manual a bad choice...be brave and you will save time..camera is bigger than the ...

Epinions Not a DSLR

by  tbcass,  Jun 27, 2006
Pros: OK Image quality Great Lens Solid build
Cons: Noise above iso 200 Poor focusing in poor light Focusing slow for fast moving objects
The Bottom Line: I no longer recommend this camera because DSLR's are much better and cost only a little more.
Review: I have been a serious amateur photographer since I bought my first SLR in 1969. My review is based on almost 7 months of use and 4000 pictures. Well made with great handling. Lot's of manual controls. It's build quality is about equal to the Nikon D50 ...

Epinions A mixed bag.

by  glsammy,  Oct 14, 2005
Pros: Potentially stunning images. Good low light pictures. 10x zoom. Good Battery life; Auto focus.
Cons: Micro-drive performance. Not the most logical menu structure. Creaks and groans a lot!
The Bottom Line: Can't recommend it due to Micro-drive performance.
Review: Had this camera for a few days now, the one big disappointment is Micro-drive performance. If you've got an IBM 4GB Micro-drive, DO NOT buy this camera. It's supposed to support it, and in a way it does, but performance is terrible. Video is nigh on ...

Epinions Good price for good camera

by  karla04,  Oct 26, 2006
Pros: good colors
Cons: low sharpness
Review: I'm not a professional at cameras, but I really needed one. So... I started browsing the shops, taking into account my friend's advices. I considered Fuji's FinePix S9000 Zoom. I noticed several improvements, new features added, probably to withstand ...

Epinions S9500

by  ianellis,  Oct 18, 2005
Pros: Handling, zoom, long battery life
Cons: Poor photos, noise/grain even at low ISO
Review: I've had my S9500 for two weeks now & I would give it 5/10. The zoom & handling is great but the photo quality lets this camera down BIG time! If you like a lot of noise (grain) in your photos then this is the camera for you - if not - don't buy this ...

Epinions Poor quality photos

by  arutha1,  Oct 20, 2005
Pros: Instant startup, fast AF in good light, look and feel, accepts standard AA batteries, feature-rich.
Cons: Image quality; AF doesn't lock properly; Changing to RAW requires 12(!) steps.
The Bottom Line: Stay away! Poor image quality and AF problems caused me to return it to the store.
Review: Very impressive camera on paper. Looks great and feels almost like an SLR, although the plastic grip has a cheap feel to it. There are some serious problems with this model, though, which caused me to return it to the shop after 2 days. The biggest ...
