Pros: Everything!
Cons: non-upgradeable memory. However it's more than enough
The Bottom Line: I'd not be without this bit of a kit when the weather turns for the worse!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After carrying out a fair bit of research and reading loads of users reviews,
my choice was between the Garmin MAP60cs and either the Magellan Meridian Colour or the Magellan Meridian Platinum. (Both the 60CS and Platinum have a barometric... |

Pros: Hundreds of built-in useful functions. Portability.
Cons: Insufficient memory for downloading large area of map. No option for memory expansion.
The Bottom Line: It's not just $500 map, it is a stress relieving fun and essential driving gadget.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After getting lost in the woods while riding a bike well into the sunset, the quest for GPS began the very next day while hunger, thirst, fear, frustration, cold, etc. were still vivid. The objective was to get a handheld unit that could be used for...

Pros: Great unit with clear large screen with good features that are easy to use.
Cons: Mapping software is severely lacking for rural areas and positioning for points of interest inaccurate.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: This is the second handheld GPS unit that I have owned. I purchased the 60cs after much research and comparison shopping. Additionally I purchased with the unit the topo maps provided by Garmin. I ended up returning the unit and the mapping software...

Pros: Excellent sat lock, high-res screen, endless options.
Cons: Extras must be calibrated often, mapping support is almost fraud.
The Bottom Line: A solidly designed product hampered by horrible map support, which makes resale value plummet. Excellent hardware, below average software. Only specific users will want this product.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: OK, I agree with most of the reviews that the 60csx is about as good as you can get. The 20 channel receiver and the new SIRF-III processor outperforms any GPSr I have seen to date. I routinely have 10 satellites locked even under cover. The basemap...

Pros: Signal acquisition speed; acquisition in very difficult areas; easy to read panel; huge memory capability
Cons: Battery life. (Who cares if your batteries last forever when you can't get a signal!)
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is my third GPS (E-trex vista; 60C) and the 60CSx is hands down, the best there is. I get five or six satellites where my 60C got one or none and it never loses signal - even in 200 foot high old-growth Pacific NW forest and in deep canyons, to...

Pros: Positional accuracy, sat lock under cover, great display, great features, rugged unit, many accesories.
Cons: None! Buy it, you'll like it. Check out a place like Newegg.com or gpsnow.com
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a remarkable piece of equipment; and like just about everything made by Garmin, it can be trusted.
It is built quite solidly, and is weatherproof, unless you plan on diving with it. The color screen is great, easy to see in most... |

Pros: Nice display, lots of bells and whistles.
Cons: Lacks a slot for an SD card, etc. Doesn't support Bluetooth. Worthless for street navigation.
The Bottom Line: This unit is marketed as a "combo" GPS, but is virtually worthless for street navigation because it lacks a slot for any type of removable media.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I bought this "combo" unit primarily for street navigation. HUGE mistake. While this unit has a lot of bells an whistles and is probably great for use in the field, it has a FATAL flaw: Unlike many cheaper GPSs (i.e. Magellan Gold), it lacks an SD...

Pros: Speed, power and functionality.
Cons: Cost, manual.
The Bottom Line: A great little GPS unit that serves well in the car or on foot. A good value over the competition.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a great little GPS (Global Positioning System) unit and we still continue to be impressed with how much it does. We have owned the unit for about 4 months and still cannot be happier with the purchase. Our main motivation for getting a GPS...

Pros: Very sensitive receiver - cannot envision it loosing reception outdoors.
Cons: Extremely weak speaker.
The Bottom Line: Would buy again and would recommend to anybody in need of an excellent all-around general purpose nav device.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is by far the best receiver I've had (the third) Under normal outdoor use, one should never get "satellite reception lost". Even indoors in many places it works just fine. I got this for a secondary nav unit and for geocaching. It is adequate...
