Ease of use and a long battery life make the Garmin n vi 250 Car GPS Receiver a great GPS unit. The box comes with everything you need to use it immediately including a window mount and charger. If you ever need to, you can connect it to your PC for an update. This unit has gotten me in and out of the most remote parts of the mountains without losing signal or giving misdirection.

If you go off track, the n vi 250 readjusts itself immediately - no problems at all. Thoroughly recommend to anyone and if you get lost in the pub it will even direct you home blind drunk.

One downside is that the map screen does not show the distance remaining as you are driving along - only the estimated arrival time.
Another problem is the map doesn't always seem to agree with your position on the road, therefore there is a danger of missing a turning as there is a delay with the voice and map prompts. But this doesn t happen frequently.
