HP printer 24 inch

The Bottom Line: Workhorse and a reliable machine.
I'll try to be brief.
Had it for 2 years. Use the USB port, its fast and reliable. Program was easily installed on a few machines.
Mostly use it for CAD drawings. Great machine for CAD, that is, line work, grey scales. Settings a bit confusing sometimes, there is a learning curve here, not a big deal for CAD proficients.
Good use of inks, cartridges last for a long time, very important point.
Photo quality is generally ok, nothing jaw dropping but I manage to get photo quality on a better paper, matte film type. Even with a heavy volume photo print outs, I am pleasantly surprised at how well the cartridges last.
It really is a workhorse. Never done anything bad. Sometimes it is hard to read the LED panel as there is no light. For a $2000+ printer, they could have had a lit up LED, I think.
I do miss the paper cutting strip on top, from older HP models. Nonsense streamlining on lid makes the top crooked and unusable as a quick work surface.
So mechanically speaking, it has worked very well so far. Sometimes I miss a bigger width than 24 inches, but generally it has been sufficient.
However, and on a personal-taste note, the "body styling" drives me nuts though, although not the most expensive things we have bought, but certainly among the ugliest. The confused streamlining is not necessary for a stationary object. Maybe that is why it is confused, the styler didnt know which direction the HP 500 was heading to. But rest assured because I have found a solution to this; I hide the printer behind a large painting when not in use.
