Epinions Hyundai L70S 17inch LCD Review - A real steal for the right price.

by  Dastar,  Aug 19, 2004
Pros: For $280 this can't be beat. 16ms response time. 3 year warranty. 1280X1024 resolution.
Cons: No DVI
The Bottom Line: Great value for $280. Is actually a Samsung panel, which is a very good thing!
Review: After about 2-3 years of use my Dell P991 19inch Trintron CRT finally bit the dust, so I decided to buy a LCD instead of spending money on another CRT. My bargain hunting and reviewing eventually led me to the Hyundai L70S 17inch LCD which I found listed ...

Epinions Great monitor says this reluctant flat screen buyer.

by  margill,  May 17, 2005
Pros: very bright, great price, simple operation, lightweight
Cons: none really
The Bottom Line: Bright, good viewing angles, easy operation, lightweight for removal and setting up somewhere else. Looks nice all over. We would buy it again.
Review: WE never wanted a flatscreen for years because we also used it for watching movies and wanted something viewable from angles that looked as good as the big clunky monitors. We had a big Sylvania (not a flat screen) that we really liked although it ...

Epinions Love it.

by  photoshop48,  Aug 23, 2004
Pros: Sharpness, Price, Brightness
Cons: None really.
Review: Just got this a few days ago. The L70S was 299.00. Sharper and brighter than my Apple 20" Cinema display. Note about those complaining about the sharpness... Have you set the monitor to it's optimum resolution of 1280x1024. If not, it will, as will ...

Epinions Works Great

by  cmwade77,  Aug 9, 2004
Pros: high quality, sharp picture, bright
Cons: none at this time
Review: I purchased this monitor almost a week ago, there was no rebate on it, it was $299 + tax and I bought the performance guarantee out the door, for a grand total of $323 in Anaheim, CA. I m amazed at the specs of this monitor for the price. And if it ...

Epinions Works and looks great

by  bownds,  Feb 1, 2004
Pros: Great price
Cons: Still no rebate after 8 weeks.
Review: Had this monitor for 9 weeks and it works and looks great. No problems with it. The price with rebate was the main reason to get this monitor ($269 after $100 ...

Epinions Great Monitor - No rebate

by  scripoch,  Mar 2, 2004
Pros: Clarity, no dead pixels, fast response time
Cons: no rebate
Review: I too am one of the people who bought this monitor in Oct 2003. No problems with it whatsoever. At first I thought it was a bit blurry, but I figured out that the resolution that I had it set to was not high enough. I found that 1280 X 1024 seems to ...

Epinions Excellent so far...

by  majestictw3lve,  Jun 8, 2005
Pros: Effortless size/color settings, above average response time, super bright, DEFINETLY worth the price!
Cons: Vertical swivel only, no DVI input.
Review: This LCD monitor is an excellent value. The 500:1 Contrast ratio, 300 cd/§³ Luminance, and 16ms response time make it excellent for everyday all-purpose use; or a good entry-level monitor for any gamer. I play Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source on it ...

Epinions Mine went bad in 5 days

by  criket,  Dec 3, 2003
Pros: excellent picture (as long as it works), watched movies & tv with no problems.
Cons: Unreliable ? short life span (5 days?)
Review: I got the same monitor and the same problem mentioned in the previous review. The monitor flashes the screen output when turned on, video mode change and then blanks out. My monitor exhibited the problem in 5 days after the purchase. I'm taking it back ...

Epinions Avoid this monitor at all costs! 100% failure rate for me

by  deejayshag,  Oct 26, 2003
Pros: Great Contrast Ratio Cheap after Rebates ($299)- not that we've gotten them yet!
Cons: 3 of 3 have all failed. Additionally 3 months and still no rebate.
The Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY THIS LCD MONITOR!!! With a 100% failure rate (3 for 3 over the course of 3 months) the hassle is just not worth it.
Review: After having 3 of these fail in less than 3 months I want to make sure no one else buys this P.O.S! My wife and I each bought one of these at Fry's after finding them for $299 after rebates. The specs all looked pretty good, the monitor itself looked pr ...
