Good Camera for First timer

I bought this camera about a year ago as a cheaper option and it is still in good shape. It is user friendly. I use it a lot camping, theme parks, holidays, parties, events, etc. and it still seems to be going strong. The menu is easy to use and it is not too complicated. It came with a Kodak CD as well. I would not use it as a professional camera because I have noticed that when I am trying to take professional pictures with it they can come out very blurry when I try to enlarge them. I also noticed that on smaller objects it does not pick up great detail. The video option works well and sounds clear you can watch them on the camera but you can not hear the sound until you download it onto your computer. It also has other picture taking options if you know a little bit about how to use them. You can turn pictures black and white, you can switch it to action mode and take pictures of things in motion, or you can take pictures of things far away with the zoom option. All in all I would say if your looking for an easy upgrade from a disposable this would be a good choice.
