BLACK SCREEN

The Bottom Line: Do not buy electronics from Wal Mart. Do not buy anything from Kodak. do not stand behind
I had the camera for about six months before the screen just went BLACK. A bit of a shadow when you point it to a lot of light. I liked it while it worked and bought it because I thought Kodak had a good reputation. I didn't drop it, I haven't had it near water, matter of fact I took very good care of it. I do work hard for my money and take care of my possessions.
I took it back to Wal-mart where my husband bought it for me and they wouldn't stand behind the product that they sold - they passed the buck and told us to send it to Kodak. In between that visit and getting ready to send it to Kodak...we misplaced the receipt. Careless on our part but we aren't perfect - needless to say Kodak has the serial no. and all info stamped on the camera...do you think they will stand behind their product without us paying for the repair? NO - they know when this camera was manufactured and I have seen posts on other sites with customers who have had the SAME problem. Needless to say I will never shop at Wal Mart again nor will I EVER buy another Kodak product. EVER!!! I have had it with the big companies just cranking out poor products with defects and making tons of money - and not standing behind their product.
I make and sell my own products and if someone was having a problem with it and if was MY FAULT - I would replace or refund. Who is the one with morals and values? Not wal mart of Kodak.... I am so disappointed!!!!
