Good but no Minolta or Canon

The Bottom Line: Light, good battery life and excellent color; but consider your usage - zooming and action shots require careful timing. Learn to always frame shots with the shutter button halfway down.
Review: Wanted to move up from a 2MP Samsung to a top-end 5MP with speed, zoom and good color. Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad I suppose but the P850 is every bit in the shutter department as slow as the Samsung (~$125 US). Sometimes you can actually count off...

Great Camera at the Time

The Bottom Line: I'd recommend it if very inexpensive as there are smaller cameras that reasonably do almost as much as this one. However, the 12X optical zoom is great.
Review: I bought this camera two and half years ago, and although I love it it is not without it's share of faults.

The good:

Great optical zoom.
Decent digital zoom.
Decent battery life.
Good video
Beautiful pictures...
