The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a technical camera, then this is not the camera for you. But if you want one thats easy to use, then this is perfect!
After many years and numerous heartbreaks using a traditional "film" camera, I finally decided to upgrade and go digital like the rest of the world. After the many times of being all exited to see that famous picture I'd taken, only to be let down because the picture didn't turn out. With my new digital camera, this wouldn't be a problem anymore. I love this camera. I am by no means a professional photographer, and truly, all the controls and buttons on the digital cameras were very daunting.
I went to wal-mart to buy a camera, and the lady behind the service desk in the photo lab recommended this one to start out with. She said it was easy to use, and then I could upgrade to a better model once I was more familiar with how a digital camera works. Needless to say, I still have this one, as I fell in love with how easy it is to use, and don't WANT to upgrade it. The only things I have found that I don't like about this are 1.)that it goes through batteries like I go through coffee...lol and 2.) that it sometimes takes a few seconds for the flash to go off after I depress the shutter button. I use rechargeable batteries now though, and they work better.
There are 3 different colors to take pictures in:
1. full color
2. sepia (brown color)
3. black and white
There are also alot of different settings to choose from, depending on where and who you are photographing.
1. auto-I use this one the most
2. portrait
3. sport
4. landscape
5. close-up
6. night
7. snow
8. beach
9. self-portrait (you can take a pic of yourself)
10. party
11. fireworks
12. backlight
13. children
The camera comes with a 1 year limited warranty, but I've not had to use it.. The things I like best on the camera are being able to crop out an image on the camera, reduce red-eye, and keeping my favorite pictures on my on-camera favorites... a brag book right on the camera!
