Indy made out of bricks
Date of Review: Jul 7, 2009
The Indiana Jones film series has been popular for over 20 years and no doubt will still be in another 20 years, but when you see that it has been put into lego form you might laugh at the idea. But it has turned out to be a fun and yet silly idea.
Of course lego is aimed at the younger audience and so is the video game, but i'm nearly 20 and i love it. And so does my dad. It is a surprisngly fun and entertaining game to play for hours on end. It's hard to get bored whilst playing it.
The gameplay is addictive with building hundreds of objects with (obviously) lego, destorying lego enviroments, fighting the bad guys and solving loads of puzzles.
Like any other platform/adventure game, there are alot of collectibles to find and different Indiana Jones related characters to unlock.
It also gives you a good reminiscence of the films as you play through it as it is very faithful to the series, and has the odd comical cut scene which are childish yet actually funny.
The only bad factor about this game is the shortness. With just 18 levels (6 for each movie), you may feel it went abit quick. But the addition of trying to unlock everything does add quite a few more hours of gameplay. Also, to admit, I did find some puzzling levels rather hard and frustrating and i don't think the much younger gamer would understand what to do. But this game is well worth the price and both adult and children will enjoy it's fun addictiveness.
