Great camera. I was a professional photographer before digital. Finding an affordable SLR digital camera like the Nikon D40 was great. The quality of the pictures is amazing for such a simple to operate camera is just great. If you take a full body picture of a person you will be able to crop his face and print with such a good quality that you can use it for a passport picture. Not much more needs to be said about it, very strong body and lenses.
Just buy it.
