I posseses a Game Boy Color and purchased one just when they were new, so mine is now about 5 years old or so. The Game Boy Color has many flaws and too few pros. The Game Boy Color is a system which plays arcade games which are purchased seperately as small cartridges that you insert into the behind of the console. You turn it on and away you play. The problems I see with the Game Boy Color is that you CANNOT play without a lot of lighting (making it impractical for bedtime) and it's extremely easy to screw up the screen. Mine is practically battered after 5 years. The games, with a few exceptions, play poorly and have bad quality on the GBC. This is the fault of the console -- the graphics are not good.
I don't recommend buying a Game Boy Color, or for that matter, a Game Boy Advance or Game Boy SP, because they're wasteful. My advice is to invest in a good old Playstation, and just deal with long carrides without this piece of junk.
