Super YES to Super NES
Date of Review: Jul 7, 2009
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System offers all our favourite Mario, Mega man and Kirby titles while other popular releases focus around co-op modes of play such as Smash TV, Joe and Mac and not forgetting gunstar heroes! Oh and let's not forget the astonishing mortal combat release.
If you've had, or still have one of these, you'll agree that back when consoles were all about game-play, fun and enjoying yourself rather than some impressive new interface Nintendo had a huge list of releases on their consoles. The SNES is a fine example of that "play to have fun, not play to win" era.
The games on the SNES had hours and hours of playtime and years of replay value. It's a very durable console unlike today's which are lucky to survive the warranty. The games and pads are equally as durable. There are also a range of options for the controllers.
If you want my advice, trade in your xbox, your wii or your PS3 and buy one of these bad boys with a spare pad and invite some friends around for some nostalgia.
Fun fact number 1:
Games on the SNES generally ranged from 1-2 players but in total ranged from 1-9 and possible higher. The SNES also had Internet gaming!
