Olympus DS-30 Digital Voice Recorder

I bought this (my first) voice recorder because it offered a stereo mic at the best price, and looked like it had potential for recording my live music rehearsals with electric guitars and drum machine.
3 microphone sensitivity level selections
Adjustable voice activation level
Stereo mic accessory included but can record mono if preferred.
Reasonably simple programming/selection process.
Control buttons on opposing sides create gripping challenge.
It cost me $117 CAD to bring it to my front door, and I consider it money well spent.
I found it to be satisfactory for my purpose. The bass guitar lacked fullness but could be heard, and our low-to-moderate volume wasn't enough to cause the recorder to distort. It stayed clean while using the least sensitive mic setting.
It was handy to use the software included on the packaged CD to download recordings onto my PC, where they could be immediately played using MS Media Player, or converted from wma files to wav by an independent converter program.
