Good pictures, but a bit wimpy feeling

The Bottom Line: Great photos, but a fragile feeling camera. I would look for a camera that is better built. Plastic feeling!
The Olympus FE-210 digital camera follows in the Olympus tradition of taking good photos. The camera is easy to use and compact. Despite the ease of use, it has a load of settings for the more advanced photographer or someone who is advancing in photography.
I like the fact that it uses AA batteries because you are never far away from a supply of batteries if yours suddenly go dead. I always point this out in my reviews because I hate cameras that take a special battery that must be charged in a special charger and when it dies, you are done shooting. Always buy a camera that takes standard batteries (or pay a fortune and buy extra "special" batteries to fit your camera!)
The one thing I don't like about the FE-210 is the light and flimsy way it is made. It has a very "plastic" feel in your hands. The lens assembly looks very fragile and can easily be jammed or damaged by even a short fall or medium-hard bump into something.
Even though this camera is loaded with features, I would recommend spending a bit more, looking around at other models, and buying a "beefier" camera that will last you longer. Even some less expensive cameras are better built, including some Olympus models.
I would probably only use this camera as a spare camera and not as my main camera. I doubt it is rugged enough to use all the time. It would be suitable for the family that only takes photos on rare occasions or for the seller who takes photos for ebay.
