Epinions Worth the price

by  wilsonstark,  Jul 12, 2006
Pros: Affordable, Compact, uses simple USB cable, cheap and effective case available
Cons: Screen size and resolution, software, Grafitti 2
The Bottom Line: If you want a simple and affordable Palm, buy this. If you want one you'll love, buy a T/X or Treo.
Review: Updated May 2007 AND June 2008: Context: I've used exclusively Palm OS PDAs, both Handspring and Palm. Mostly I've used more expensive models, although I did use a Z21 for 2 years until it died. Form factor: This is a very compact unit, and ...

Epinions My Opinion

by  camburke,  Aug 2, 2008
Pros: Downloadable apps
Cons: No video viewing or internet.
The Bottom Line: This pda is only for basic use like for organizing.
Review: In my opinion this is a good pda for the price it cost. Being able to download apps for the palm gives you a flexibility to what the pda offers. Although you can not go like me. I bought this device for $100 and at the time I didn't regret it. ...

Epinions Basic small PDA with only a 90 day warranty

by  mainebones,  Feb 19, 2006
Pros: Fast, compact, easy to use, comes with charger
Cons: Poor warranty period (90 days) Hard to read screen in bright light.
Review: This is a nice small PDA with basic functionality which is all I wanted it for. I have owned it for about 4 months, so when it wouldn't turn on, I checked the warranty and found out that it was only for 90 days. Out-of-warranty service costs more than a ...

Epinions I fell out of love!

by  clutterbug,  Dec 22, 2007
Pros: Is light-weight and cute, easy to use and helps one to get organized
Cons: One month after buying this is quit working and would not even turn on.
The Bottom Line: I would not buy another Palm Z22 because it totally crashed and couldn't even be turned on to delete personal information before returning it.
Review: Last year for my birthday I decided to buy myself a gift and since I've always loved new gadgets and organizational tools, I bought a Palm Z22 handheld. Quickly this little baby become one of my best friends, where I went ... it went with me. It ...

Epinions Z22 Still Not Working 4 days after Purchase

by  duncanhouse,  May 29, 2007
Pros: Small, and would be easy to use if it works as stated.
Cons: If it doesn't sync up with Outlook, you are out of luck.
The Bottom Line: I cannot recommend the Z22 to use with Outlook calendars and contacts. If you don't use any online calendar or contacts this may be ok to start with.
Review: I bought the Z22 4 days ago based on epinions reviews. First, it would not respond to "taps" on the screen and the reset instructions did not work. After contacting Palm, they gave instructions for a "hard reset", and it took 8 tries to get it to ...

Epinions Warning: Underpowered, very poor screen, poorly made

by  hbj200,  May 5, 2006
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Cheaply built; cheap looking; slow processor; little RAM; very poor non-color screen; terrible
The Bottom Line: The Z22 is a true disgrace to the Palm brand name and is not good for anyone. Spend a little more for a much more powerful and useable Windows Mobile.
Review: The Palm Z22 is cheap, and for a good reason: it's a very cheaply made PDA with a processor supplied by a third-world manufacturer. Its memory (about 18MB actually accessible to the end user) is also very slow, and cannot be expanded. But, you say, ...

Epinions Great product...until it stops working.

by  smacami,  Jan 20, 2007
Pros: Nice, basic PDA with the most commonly used features.
Cons: Stops working with no warning.
Review: When the device works, I have no complaints. It is perfect for my needs. However, the first device that I purchase just would not turn on one day, for no apparent reason. I figured it was a fluke, and this was within 2 weeks of the purchase. I sent ...

Epinions Too bad they die so young...

by  googolplex2,  Aug 5, 2007
Pros: Very useful when it works
Cons: Works for a very short time
Review: Do you ever wonder how companies decide on how long to warranty their products??? This one is covered for 90 days, and that seems to be their average lifespan. This thing is very useful when it works. My first one lasted about 1 month which is, ...

Epinions Worst Electronic Device of the 21st Century

by  fvcostanzo,  Jan 9, 2007
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Cheap, poor quality, short-lived.
Review: I was very satisfied for the first 5 months. Then it completely stopped working - for no apparent reason. Nice that it rolled snake eyes so shortly after the warranty expired! Was playing chess one minute, put it down for an hour, and it never came ...
