Rub A? Dub Scrub, Won?t Be In My Tub
Date of Review: Apr 25, 2004
The Bottom Line: A good product for someone else, but not for me.
Introduction: After watching way too much QVC, I decided to order their Today s Special Value a good mix of 7 philosophy products including amazing grace spray cologne and amazing grace perfumed hot salt scrub for around $57. I was convinced that amazing grace was the scent for me after listening to their sales pitch about its clean, fresh scent that smells like you just stepped out of the shower.
Overall Experience: I have used this scrub pretty much all over my body except for the face and private areas. It does a fine job exfoliating my skin and can even double as a foot scrub. The scrub s texture is thick and doesn t require mixing like many other all-over body scrubs. My absolute favorite part about the scrub is that it isn t oily. It rinses clean from body parts and doesn t leave an oily film like some scrubs that I purchased from Bath & Body Works. I found that this scrub made a good exfoliator for my legs before shaving.
On the down side, I found out that I don t really care for amazing grace as far as scents go. It smells much more strong and perfumey than what I expected. If you re looking for a clean, just out of the shower scent, I recommend Demeter s Laundromat (found at Sephora - www.sephora.com ) instead.
Now the real question - would you recommend amazing grace salt scrub? While I personally won t purchase this product again due to the overwhelming scent. I believe that this scrub would appeal to many others and is worth trying out. You may, however, want to sniff an amazing grace sample first at the nearest store since this scrub usually runs for $25.
Where do I get it?
Since I shop exclusively on-line these days, so I recommend getting philosophy products at:
Drug Store - www.drugstore.com
Sephora - www.sephora.com
QVC www.qvc.com (especially when they have a special value)
Bottom Line: A good product for someone else, but not for me.
