Epinions Idiot Simple

by  dantematrix,  Apr 17, 2005
Pros: Idiot simple. It works.
Cons: Need a good PC or it won't work.
The Bottom Line: If you have a need to convert video onto DVD, buy this one. It's almost impossible to mess up with this.
Review: Package came with Pinnacle Studio Quickstart and a DVD disk full of effects, and Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder. I installed the Pinnacle Studio with its DVD first so that when I installed Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder, it'll recognize it. The DVD ...

Epinions Can't Do the Basics

by  pvreditor,  Nov 18, 2005
Pros: Small external analog-to-digital converter; hardware seems stable
Cons: Flaky software has lots of features but is too unstable for any real work
The Bottom Line: Dazzle needs to offer this with simple, minimal software that will do the basics. The bulging software is too unstable to be reliable.
Review: Video capture and editing on computers is fraught with problems, despite the fact that products to do exactly this have been available for many years. I've experimented with several video capture products over the years and knew they were a crapshoot. ...

Epinions Works but somewhat unimpressive

by  jstrickland,  Jan 3, 2006
Pros: Hardware does exactly as advertised, passing the video and audio signal to the PC.
Cons: The software is lacking in quality and extras for the resources required.
The Bottom Line: If you simply need to convert old videos to DVD the DVC 90 is fine. There are better choices though. Definitely upgrade software to Ulead Video Studio.
Review: I have a lot of VHS tapes of my children that I need to transfer to DVD before they dry rot. I also had a recording of my fall vacation that I needed to get transferred to DVD before giving the camera back to my mother. I asked for a DVDExpress from Sams ...

Epinions Doesn't work

by  jimmy99999,  Nov 19, 2005
Pros: Comes in a flashy box that advertises everything I need.
Cons: The product doesn't work.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this product. It doesn't work. You have to pay extra money to change the settings. It doesn't come with any cables.
Review: This product doesn't work. The video capture is full of green lines. It skips around so much I can't even tell what is happening on the video. I tried a variety of troubleshooting options. The first one made me furious. I went into the options to ...

Epinions Waste of money

by  annz567,  Nov 8, 2006
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Unfriendly user interface, too many upgrades and patches, did not work as advertised
Review: The software never worked for me in spite of following the instructions provided. This was a waste of CAN$100 that I paid for that piece of junk and a software that required upgrades, patches and work-arounds (signs of an unstable software). I removed ...

Epinions Avoid, Does not work as advertised.

by  taterhead,  Oct 6, 2005
Pros: Haven't gotten far enough to find any
Cons: Useless documentation and online help Massive software package. Capture hasn't worked at all for me.
Review: Results are really hit or miss with the product. I've seen reviews from those who are happy with it, but it's a roll of the dice. As for me, it will not capture video from my camera. Documentation and online help is useless. It seems to be simply ...
