Epinions thanks Polaroid - good starting point

by  boulder_edu,  Oct 11, 2002
Pros: THE camera for pinhole photography
Cons: Explaining yourself to bystanders
The Bottom Line: Buy two or three of these, wreck them, and start having fun!
Review: I love my Joycam! If you're considering this camera in it's whole form you're going to be disappointed because the prints are too small, especially for such a bulky camera. Plus, the "lens" is plastic, as is the viewfinder, and the flash can only result...

Epinions So easy!

by  TBCMom,  Apr 13, 2000
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: film could be difficult to find
Review: So easy that I'm afraid I won't be able to full fill my 100 word obligation :) I bought this for my preteen daughter for a Christmas present. She is entering the age of boy/girl parties and thought it would such fun for all of them. When I was her age I...

Epinions Cool for teens and Moms

by  halosky,  May 8, 2000
Pros: Instant Results
Cons: Only 10 pics per cartridge
Review: I bought this for a friend, but I have found myself asking to borrow it a few times. I think I will just have to get one of my own. It is so easy to use and since my 5 year old can use it I love it. How cool is it for a child to take pics and say I...

Epinions Oh, how cute is that!

by  mom2daniel,  Feb 28, 2001
Pros: For when you need a picture right then and there, this camera is perfect
Cons: Only thing so far is the cost of the film!
The Bottom Line: The JoyCam is a fun camera for people who don't spend a lot of time taking pictures.
Review: I recently purchased this camera upon a recommendation from a friend of mine. I am no photographer, but I do have those moments in life where I scream "Why didn't I take a picture of this??!" Well...okay, I do have a 35 mm camera, but I hardly remember...

Epinions Loosen up, the JoyCam is for fun

by  criticaleye,  Jul 15, 2001
Pros: Cute, easy-to-use, fun
Cons: smaller than normal polaroid film size
The Bottom Line: For under $30 it provides a lot of fun and some great instant photos.
Review: I read a lot of the negative reviews of the JoyCam and I gotta wonder if these folks are missing the point. The Polaroid JoyCam is an under $30 (sometimes under $20) camera that delivers INSTANT photos. Rather than coming in the form of the bulky...

Epinions Joy toy

by  prettyrain,  Jun 5, 2000
Pros: yes, it's fun. pictures clear and crisp and a handy size. instant photos. encourages creativity.
Cons: somewhat expensive. limited range to take photos of subjects. doesn't fit in my old camera case.
Review: I didn't think this camera would be as much fun as it, but it really is as fun as a toy. It's not a toy, though... it really works! It took a few shots to figure out exactly how far away to get, and what kind of light works.

I've only had a...

Epinions Smile, Your on My Joycam

by  pamela5,  Jan 4, 2001
Pros: Instant, fun for kids, Fair price
Cons: Film is high, bulk
Review: My kids love taking picture! When I saw the ad for the Joycam I thought it would make a great Christmas gift.

The price is right for this camera at 24.99, I won't spend a dime more. This isn't a camera for great clarity. This is more of a...

Epinions Cute, with a hint of Joy

by  chrysa1,  Jul 22, 2000
Pros: Fun, Instant Pictures, Conveinent
Cons: Bulky size, A little cheaply made
Review: I have been waiting, and waiting to get my hands on one of these cameras. When I was a
little girl the first camera I ever got was a Polaroid from my Aunt for an Christmas gift. I
was 8 or 9 and I lugged that big huge camera around with me...

Epinions What a Joy!

by  Darkclaw,  Nov 29, 2000
Pros: Cheap price, great photo quality and size
Cons: Film doesn't exactly come cheap.
Review: About a month or so ago, when I was watching TV, I came across a really nifty advertisement for Polaroid's latest instant camera incarnation: the JoyCam. After watching all those people in the commercial taking numerous pics of themselves and having a...

Epinions Happy Happy, Joy Joy...

by  BusterBunny,  Jun 5, 2000
Pros: Incredibly easy to use, instant pictures, cheap camera.
Cons: Film is a little pricey, pictures are tiny.
Review: I have always been a big fan of photography. My camera seems to have become a part of my body, because I always have it with me. Sometimes I load up my camera with film and take it around with me on a normal day for no particular reason at all,...
