Pros: X-Ray like infra-red reception, great range, cheaper than wired remote, comes with batteries.
Cons: Cheap plastic casing, continuous shooting not available via remote.
The Bottom Line: Great buy for the money! Great little toy opening a whole new world of exposure control.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Bought the RC-1 for long exposures with my EOS Elan 7E, in which pressing the shutter can potentially move camera and fuzz the exposure (no matter how rock steady my tripod may be). I had a hard time deciding between this and the wired version of...

Pros: Locks onto the camera neckstrap; does its job very well
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: If you have a Digital Rebel, this should be an automatic purchase to go with it.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Though I'm hardly a great photographer, one thing I've always loved ever since beginning to use an SLR is taking long-exposure shots. I love setting up the tripod and taking pictures of lightning streaking through the sky during thunderstorms, or...

Pros: Simple and easy to use, Long battery life, Locked, regular and delayed modes
Cons: IR requires line-of-sight to fire camera
The Bottom Line: If you have a Canon Rebel or any of the other compatible models, go out and get one of these, you'll wonder why you hadn't gotten one earlier
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you have a digital Rebel camera (or any of the several Canon models that this remote supports), this handy little remote control can let you take group photos or long exposure shots without having to touch the camera. While it s not perfect, I ve...

Pros: Storage convenience, wireless, sturdy, 2 sec w/ mirror lock, works with bulb mode
Cons: IR limitations; No L mode (mirror lock) with Rebel XT
The Bottom Line: While there are some caveats that won't please professionals, it is small and convenient, while giving you the ability to get yourself into group shots.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Being in IT, I have purchased a good number of digital cameras over the years, and one of the things that caught my eye about 8 years ago was the emergence of wireless remotes. Back then, it was somewhat of a side note, and it doesn't seem that...

Pros: digital display, removable base, even cooking, large
Cons: mine kept shutting off in the middle of cooking for no apparent reason
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I loved this electric skillet at first. It has a digital display. It is LARGE. It has a clear top so you can see what you are cooking without opening the top. It seems to heat evenly. You can remove the skillet from the base for easy cleaning and...

Pros: Works well, small, easy to operate.
Cons: Easy to lose, a little flimsy.
The Bottom Line: The RC-1 is an excellent accessory for many popular Canon cameras. It is both functional and inexpensive.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The RC-1 remote control from Canon can be used to operate the shutter release on many popular cameras including Elan II/e and EOS IX. This wireless remote can be used up to 16 feet (5 metres) from the camera infront, or from a few feet behind. This...

Pros: Easy enough and good enough for most users. Lots of quality for the money.
Cons: About perfect for what it is and what it costs.
The Bottom Line: Buy this camera for quality performance and price. I don't see anything else in this price band that really competes.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: $189 buys a very capable digital camera at Sam's Club. To that purchase you'll need to add a 1GB (or better) Memory Stick Duo Pro ($33), screen protector ($10), and belt-loop case ($15)for basic operations. Total $247.

Pros: Clip design, small size, easy to use, direct and 2s delayed shutter control
Cons: Limited range, line-of-sight only, no "half-press" mode
The Bottom Line: Tiny, easy to use ... indispensible for those times when not "behind" the camera
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have been using Canon's xxD series for a while (20D, 40D) and since neither offers a built-in wireless remote control option, the corded switch was really the best and only option. Consumer cameras like the Digital Rebel in several incarnations,...
