Just play Vice City instead

Like Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories takes another playable character and essentially goes over the same ground as Vice City. Why this was not released as an expansion pack for the excellent Vice City, I have no idea. However, setting this to one side for a moment, the game still plays well, however similar it is to Vice City.

However, my advice remains that if you haven't played a Grand Theft Auto game in the past, then choose one of the "major" ones in the series - i.e. GTA 3 / GTA Vice City / GTA San Andreas / GTA 4, and leave this one alone.
