Cons:
Expensive junk if your time is worth anything
The Bottom Line:
Don't buy Seagate- it's not reliable

I have been wrestling with Seagate for three weeks. They have the worst support of any company that I have dealt with in 20+ years in the (electronics) Engineering field. I had to tell their customer service person that they made a 100GB drive in the model that would work in my notebook. She thought their biggest was 80GB. Then they sent me a 80GB SATA drive instead of a 100GB PATA! I have wasted hours on the phone with them, and they never call back, or reply to Email.
The company doesn't take responsibility for their garbage products. I have had to have four drives sent to me in five months because they fail so soon. I have taken extraordinary measures to cool my notebook, but the drives just keep failing. So far the longest running Seagate has been three months. My original Hitachi drive lasted more than three years!
So if you like to replace your hard drive, spend hours on the phone and get replacment drives (refurbished by the way) that might not be what you expected- this is a super company to waste time with. If you want your machine to be reliable, and tech support to be capable, look elsewhere!
