Very disappointed in poor type quality and color accuracy

The Bottom Line: If you have a Mac and type quality and color accuracy are important to you, don't but this monitor and look for something better.
I got this monitor at CompUSA as a demo model because it was the very last one they had and I got a good deal on it. It was pretty easy to hook up, although there wasn't a manual included. The brief instructions (if you can even call it that) that came with the monitor were on a sheet of paper that they called their Quick Set-up Guide. There was also a CD included that had drivers and other color features to help fine-tune the color, but these were useless to me because they were all for PCs and I have a Mac. They did include a pdf version of their manual on the CD, but it would have been nicer to have an actual printed manual.
While I like the size of the monitor (a major upgrade from my 18" CRT) and the thinness of it, I wasn't very happy with the quality of how text looked or how colors appeared on it. The type at the top of the screen (where the menus are) and all the type in my e-mails and on web sites wasn't very sharp. There was a slight fuzziness around all the type. I even tried the sharpness adjustment in the menu settings on the monitor. Colors looked really washed out and not very vivid or accurate. I got much better type quality and color accuracy from my old CRT monitor, which is pretty sad. Photos did look very crisp and sharp, but the color just wasn't very accurate. When I tried to adjust the color using my Apply System Preferences, there was a slight improvement in the color, but the whites were too white. When I tried to adjust for the whiteness to make it slightly darker, then the darker colors became too dark. I could only adjust for one thing, but not both.
On the plus side, the height adjustment feature was pretty cool. And they did include cables for both DVI and VGA connection. A lot of monitors don't come with both cables. The three-year warranty was nice, too.
Bottom line: I'm unhappy with the type quality and the color so I am returning the monitor and going back to my old CRT monitor until I can find another better LCD monitor that satisfies all my requirements. Reading e-mails and viewing web sites with fuzzy type just doesn't cut it for me.
