Call me a Samsung laser printer junkie. I've gone through ML1210, 1430, 1710, 1740, 2010 and now ML-2510.
Samsung ML-2510 may be 5 pages/minute faster than the ML-2010 and slightly faster warmup time, but other than that, I see no real differences. They use exact same toner cartridges.
Cartridges. It's no secret that printer manufacturers make big profits on cartridges. That plus needing to print checks with magnetic toner (to avoid bank service charges) prompted me to use MICR cartridge from checksnet. As fringe benefits, MICR toner is darker than regular toner so I lowered printer darkness setting which saves toner. That plus more toner inside the cartridges from checksnet, makes cost per page much cheaper than buying regular toner cartridges anywhere else.
Networking. Unlike most Hp printers that require having an internal NIC card and are notorious for driver issues, I got the Samsung ML-2510 to install & run on my home/office network without any problems or additional hardware.
