Samsung CLP-300N - - color - laser - Legal, A4 - up to 16 ppm (mono) / up to 4 ppm (color) -... Printer

Aside from unreliable paper feeding, and being noisy & smelly, it worked for a while and made okay color prints. When it suddenly stopped working after 13 months of very light use (fuser temperature error), I tried to send it in for service.
The default warranty was for 12 months, but it had been extended by another 3 months at the time I registered the product online, as was clearly stated in an email they sent to me upon registration. When I tried to make a service claim, they refused to honor the warranty, claiming that the the warranty was not really extended by 3 months because I did not register it within 10 days of purchase (this was a direct contradiction to what was stated in the email).
So I threw out the printer, since the cost of shipping it both ways plus the repair bill would have certainly been more than the cost of a new one (not a Samsung, of course).
Needless to say, I am going back to HP!
