SanDisk Extreme® III (8 GB) CF Card (SDCFX3-8192-902)

In October 08, I bought a Canon 40D SLR camera - one of the reasons I bought it was because it could take 6.5 frames per second.  Problem is that the Fuji memory card I had with the camera couldn't keep up and even if I went for, say a 2 second burst of 12-13 photos, the memory card then took an age to do its business before I could then use the camera again.  Not so with the SanDisk Extreme III 8GB card.  I've now tried it in a wide range of circumstances, most recently shooting simultaneous RAW + JPEG photos in 4 to 5 second bursts and this card seems to write to the camera in super-quick time.  I haven't timed it or anything, but it is noticeably faster than any other card I've used.
I've also used it to take photos in minus 17 degrees celcius (yes, the Scottish Highlands do get a bit chilly at winter!!) and it still performed admirably.
