Great Bang for the Buck!!

Bought the 1 Gig M240 for my wife and ended up getting a M230 for myself off of E-Bay for $5 (plus $10 shipping). Right out of the package it was very straight forward and easy to use.

One thing I noticed is a lot of people say they are having problems using it without Windows Media player. The trick is you have to change the USB setting from "Automatic" to MSC. That way when you plug it into your computer it treats it like a flash drive. Then you can just use Windows Explorer to drag and drop your MP3's or WMA files right onto it.

I do agree some of the menus are a little chunky and the user guide is a little sparse on in depth technical details. But by searching online you can find lots of forums and review sites that actualy answer a lot of you questions.

So far my only real drawbacks are the length of battery time is not all that great, and no exapandable memory slot. I am thinking I will switch to some high milliamp hybrid rechargable batteries (at least 2100 mA) to save on buying lots of AAA. And on the expandable memory I figured Sandisk would have jumped at the opportunity to sell you two products instead of just one, but Oh Well.

In summary for a MP3 player that is under $50 it realy performs well and is easy to use. Also just saw Sandisk has a program you can download from their support site that basically will reformat the player and make it just like when you bought it. This is for if it freezes up and wont re-set.
