decent all round camera
Date of Review: Jul 3, 2009
This camera does what it says on the box, without any alarming surprises once it is used.
The fact it does not come with a memory card or carry case etc is a bit annoying but not surprising. Usage wise, the 8.1 megapixel quality is outstanding, and shows its value when photos need to be blown up or printed out.
However, when there are many photos on the memory card, the camera does get very slow, and when needing to take many photos in a short time, the gap in between-taking photos does seem pretty long and vital shots can be missed.
Also, the shots tend to be taken better consistently under the flash mode, whereas without the flash, the shots can come out blurry.
The LCD screen is an okay size, it does the job and the touch screen is also effective.
To change from picture mode to movie mode is also a bit long, as there is no button to simply switch modes and you have to go through the Menu button to do this.
