Another serious limitation

Pros: Good sound quality (with Rev.2 firmware) Long battery life

Cons: Can only be charged from your computer

We actually have a 1G Walkman, NW-E003, but what I have to say should apply to all this series.
We discovered that they will not accept charge from a USB charger. They plug in and charging appears to take place, but after an hour the players battery level is as low as before. Sony support (Canada) seem to think that we were naive to even expect this to work! They even say that Sony's proprietary charger, the ACU50A (or AC-U50A) will not work with the NW-E00* series either, although it is sold for this purpose!
If you do have one of these units, make sure that it has the latest firmware (Version 2). This can be downloaded from Sony's site.
