Stands the test of time

I needed to get a gift for my nephew, who was turning six. He has the standard playstation and XBox consoles, and many many games for them. He does not have a handheld game player. The gameboy was too small, the DS was too complicated, so i settled on the PSP. He is a Star Wars fan, so i found the bundle of Star Wars PSP Entertainment Pack, sold on the Dell website. The bundle has a white Playstation game with a Darth Vader image, and the Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Game cartridge. This is the story of a team put together by Han Solo. They have battles and dogfights all over the galaxy. The game can also be played online with others. I am sure he will like it, he has other Star wars games, but not this one, this was made just for the PSP.
The PlayStation Portable is one of the best selling game portable units, with a 6.7" x 2.9" body. It has multimedia capability, via the Memory Stick pro duo. It will also let you save pictures, music, movies, but movies must be converted to the PSP format before watching. You can also buy UMD cartridges of full length movies as well as UMD games, and the local video store usually has a pile of used games at severe discount prices, and unlike cd's, which get scratched, touched, etc., the PSP disc is enclosed in a plastic shell, to protect it. The PSP has a beautiful high resolution screen and built in speakers, and a headphone output jack. It also has wireless connectivity and internet browser capability, at super slow speeds. I am sure he will love this gift. My kid has one for years, and he still plays it often.

I want to know why the PSP reviews here at epinions are full of craigslist and ebay scammers from Africa and Nigeria trying to rip people off with promises of buying their stuff with 'fake' money orders???? And also free PSP offers if you get your friends to sign up for commercial deals???
