Stunning experience

Sony have always produced equipment that stands out from the rest, such as its new line of bravia TV's. With HD been the new buzz word of the moment, there is a lot of competition around, and therefore the smallest of con's can be a landslide failure for a company such as sony. The TV itself offers all the usual connections and new HD connections. It works seemlessy with the ps3 and xbox, handling the varient of colours and the full HD Sound. However its upscaling from standard definition leaves a sour taste in the mind. On the larger screens such as this, the picture becomes grainy, and sometimes blocky, such as using a digitial freeview box. Although there is now an influx of HD boxes to go with the TV's, most people will only be looking to upgrade their TV and probably cannot afford the extra 200 for a HD freeview box aswell. Therefore sony have seemed to overlook this, and not paid enough attention to making there TV make other hardware look good aswell. This TV is a great purchase, especially for the use of games consoles, but if you want to get the full potential from this tv, you may have to wait until the HD recievers drop in price and mature in the market interms of what they offer.
