Soul Blade: among the most realistic of fighting games out there. Granted, its sequel for the Sega Dreamcast makes this game look Atari, but never the less, this game ROCKS! I am not a fan of shooting fireballs and teleporting in order to play a fighting game. The realistic, sword to sword nature of this game is what is so unique about it. With a wide variety of unique characters, different weapons, and many different modes of play, this is a game which can be played over and over again. This game is very customizable -- from controller options to character outfits.

Play against a friend, against the computer, or in an adventure/roleplaying type mode, where you go through the story of the game (unique for each character) performing several tasks in order to find the legendary sword Soul Blade.

I really can't think of any downsides to this game, except that Soul Caliber for the Dreamcast is better in graphics and options. This is a great fighting game, and I recommend it to all fighting game fans. Even those who aren't fans of fighting games may enjoy this game, but I would recommend renting it first.
