Spiderman Finally Converts

This game initially came out on the playstation, and at the time it did a lot for what was then an ailing console, injecting another year or two of life while everyone was waiting for the Playstation 2. The port to the PC is just that: a port; the game is almost exactly the same.

However, the graphics have improved fantastically since the game was on the PS1. Now you can make out Spidey's webbing, and the individual fingers on his opponents' hands.

With these enhanced graphics, Spidey is cooler than ever, and swinging your way through New York's skyline is one of the most immersive features I've experienced in a game recently.

There are a few hidden extras, and the comic book covers add a little depth to this otherwise shallow game, but over all it needs more to really make it into the major leagues.

The game is also a little short, and I was able to complete it in a few days of playing, much to my disappointment. This does mean, though, that what is there is great, high-quality stuff, and well worth your time. A must-have for fans and those with $30 to spend on a few hours entertainment.
