You can have just about everything in one lens!

Date of Review:  May 11, 2008
The Bottom Line: A great lens for general purpose outdoor shooting. Recommended for those who just have a kit lens.
Review: I shoot a Canon 40D for fun, mostly things like birthday parties, horse shows, and some sports. These events place a premium on being ready for anything in an instant. The Tamron 18-250mm is the lens for the job.

The zoom is, well,...

Nice addition to your digital camera!

Date of Review:  Oct 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: A great lens for 'all around' use. Has amazing wide angle and telephoto capabilities with very little distortion. Great macro with bright crisp color and contrast.

Great all purpose walk around lens for under $470.00

Date of Review:  Sep 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: I do recommend this lens if you are looking for a solid and flexible lens for your Canon.
Review: My primary persuasion in purchasing this lens was to reduce the amount of lenses I have to lug around.

Carrying a Canon 30D, Canon 17-40 L, Tamron mid zoom, and a Canon 70-200L f2.8is makes things very heavy and clumsy. Not too mention it...
